Welcome!

I am beginning the journey that many others before me have started.

Homeschooling.

I can honestly say I did not think that I would ever homeschool, or even consider homeschooling.  Nope, wasn’t for me.  I enjoy working and having a career, and I went to public school and turned out just fine.

Then all of a sudden, it’s time.  Time to think about where to send that precious BABY (oh yeah, pre-schooler) to learn.  Time to decide where they will spend most of their time and in who’s company and under who’s influence they will be.

Shudder.

After praying and hearing and seeing so many open doors, we decided that at home was the best place for our girl to be.  We may not always choose this path, but we know that for now, this is right where we need to be.

I love reading blogs, and there are some great ones out there.  So many talented home-schooling mom's sharing their ideas, victories and pitfalls along the way.  Hopefully our journey will be a blessing to someone else.

My homeschooling goal would be to read what’s written on my children’s hearts…to know them, and to be known by them…to write, like beautiful graffiti, the truth of the Word of God on  them (and erase the errors and falsehoods), and to allow them to freely explore the adventures of learning so that they will have every opportunity to fulfill the dreams and desires that God has (already) written on their hearts.

Thank you for joining in on our adventure!

  2. This will help so many mothers and fathers who are venturing into the homeschooling world. I'm going to mention you on my blog and send some of my followers over. You make me feel brave enough to try... I'd have someone else's steps to follow in. I'm looking forward to keeping up with you. =)
